Carnell Henley, 89 Paducah Ky.

Graveside services for Carnell Henley, 89, formerly of Paducah, will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Weakley County, Tennessee.
Ms. Henley died at 1:20 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Manor Healthcare in Mayfield.

A native of Graves County, she was a retired payroll supervisor for the Miami School System in Dade County, Fla. She worked for the Welcome Wagon in Paducah was a Red Cross volunteer. She was a member of a bridge club.

Surviving are several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by five brothers and four sisters. Her parents were Oley and Alice Bowlin Henley.

Marion Smith
(August 5, 1929 - July 24, 2008)

Mrs. Marion Louise Smith, 78, a resident of Magnolia Assisted Living Center in Union City, died 7:00 p.m. July 24, 2008, at Golden Living Center in Union City.
Funeral services will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Sunday in the Chapel of Dilday Funeral Home. Burial will follow in New Hope Cemetery in the Latham community in Weakley County. Brother James Kinsey and Dr. Melvin Poe will officiate.

Mrs. Smith was born August 5, 1929, in Latham, daughter of the late Samuel Marshall and Verlie Rebecca Lochridge Crittendon. She married William Harold Smith April 6, 1947. He died April 17, 1975. She was a retired 18 year employee of the former Hubbell Lighting Company in Martin and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Union City.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Nina and Charles Davis of Union City and Cynthia and Gary Stallings of Johnson City, Illinois; two sons and daughters-in-law, Kerry and Terrie Smith of Union City and Larry and Carol Smith of Lenexa, Kansas; two grandsons, Tra Simmons and Will Simmons of Union City and one granddaughter and her husband, Kristie Lynn (Smith) and Chris Walker of Union City; two sisters, Ann Nanney of Pilot Oak, Kentucky and Jean Higgs of Dresden; her brother, Jimmy Lochridge of Dearborn, Michigan; and several nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Smith was also preceded in death by her son, Terry Glynn Smith; five sisters, Margaret Hicks, Sue Rea, Obert Reed, Josy Brundrige and Jackie Wray; and her brother, John Lochridge.

Services for Dick Hogancamp, 70, of Milburn will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Bardwell. The Rev. Don Farmer will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery in Bardwell.

Mr. Hogancamp died at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Lourdes hospital in Paducah.

He was a farmer and a member of Beulah Baptist Church.

Surviving are his wife, Amelia Guhy Hogancamp; his parents, Maurice and Avis Vallandingham Hogancamp of Milburn; his daughter, Sarah Lou Pitchford of Kearney, Mo.; five sons, John Maurice Hogancamp of Lebanon, Tenn., David Ross Hogancamp of Milburn, Paul Guhy Hogancamp of Lone Oak, Joe Austin Hogancamp of Wickliffe and George Lewis Hogancamp of Tupelo, Miss.; two sisters, Peggy Fry of Waltonville, Ill., and Louella Lyon of Sedgewickville, Mo.; and 14 grandchildren.

Memorial services for Louis Wayne Warren, 75, of Paducah, formerly of Martin, Tenn., will be at 3 p.m. today at Milner & Orr Funeral Home of Lone Oak. The Rev. Mike Williams will officiate. Private burial will be later in Greenlea Cemetery in Fulton.
Mr. Warren died at 8:55 p.m. Tuesday at Parkview Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

An Army veteran of World War II, Mr. Warren was a retired self-employed watch repairman and owned and operated Warren's Jewelry Store in Martin.

He was of the Baptist faith.

Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Green of Lone Oak and Carolyn Davidson of Horn Lake, Miss.; one son, Larry Warren of Jackson, Tenn.; two sisters, Betty Dodson of Michigan and Linda Witherspoon of Havelock, N.C.; two brothers, William B. Warren of Paducah and James Warren of Michigan; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and one stepgranddaughter.

He was preceded in death by one sister and one brother. His parents were William Buel Warren and Ludie Lamb Warren.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. today at the funeral home.

WINGO, Ky.--Michael Don Via, 38, of Wingo died at 9:32 a.m. Friday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
He was a member of Bayou du Chien Cumberland Presbyterian Church and was employed by VMV Enterprises as an electrician.

Surviving are his wife, Kimberli Boyd Via; two daughters, Michelle Via and Jennifer Via, both of Wingo; one brother, Greg Via of Wingo; his parents, Donald Ray and Betty Gardiner Via of Wingo; and his grandmother, Nola Mae Via of Wingo.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home in Wingo. The Revs. Danny Potts and Dean Atchison will officiate, and burial will be in Wingo Cemetery.

Elberta Brundige Owens, 86, of Jackson, formerly of Latham, died Monday, April 25, 2005, at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital. Funeral services for Mrs. Owens were held Thursday, April 28, 2005, at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Baptist Church in Latham. Burial followed in New Hope Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Perkins, Bro. Donald Doster, and Bro. Kenneth Williams officiated the services.
Mrs. Owens was a homemaker and member of New Hope Baptist Church. She was a native of Weakley County and the daughter of the late Elbert and Hortense Shanklin Brundige. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Owens was also preceded in death by her husband, Merchie C. Owens.
Mrs. Owens is survived by two daughters, Betty Dietzman of Jackson, and Sherry Lochridge of Whitmore Lake, Michigan; a son, James E. Owens of Fulton, Kentucky; two sisters, Elise Wright of Martin, and Jean Berryman of Cottage Grove; eight grandchildren; and fourteen great-grandchildren.

Ernest Garner

Graveside services for Ernest "Mojo" Garner, 83, of Paducah will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County. The Rev. Jim Downey will officiate.
Mr. Garner died at 5 a.m. Friday at Lourdes hospital.

A retired self-employed brick mason, Mr. Garner was a Navy veteran of World War II and a member of the Disabled American Veterans. He was of the Holiness faith.

Surviving are his daughter, Wanda Jean Krone of Paducah; three sons, Joe A. Garner of Ledbetter, Chester L. Garner and Curtis E. Garner, both of Paducah; four sisters, Sue McKinney, Fronie Eldridge and Nancy Brandon, all of Murray, and Vickie Reed of Lynn Grove; three brothers, Chester M. Garner and Leonard Garner, both of Murray, and Morgan Garner of Benton; six grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his wife, Lena McGregor Garner; five brothers; one grandson; and one great-grandson. His parents were Rufe and Fronie McDaniel Garner.

She was a member of the Old Bethel Primitive Baptist Church and had been a seamstress for the Henry I. Siegel Clothing Company. She had lived in this area most of her life.
She is survived by a son and daughter in law - David & Linda Brann of South Fulton, TN. 2 grandchildren - Amy Cromika of South Fulton, TN and Marianne Redden of Fulton, KY and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband- Paul Jones Brann in 1991, her parents, a brother - C.C. Wheeler, 4 half brothers- Dick Wheeler, Marvin Wheeler, Jack Wheeler and Willie Wheeler, and 2 half sisters - Bessie Wheeler Shelton and Ednie Wheeler.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 10, 2008 at the Old Bethel Cemetery in Fulton,KY. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time to leave for the cemetery for services. Norton Funeral Home, Hartsville, is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Lear was born in Kentucky, a daughter of the late Henry and Cora Eastwood Wray. She was a member of Northside Church of Christ in Mayfield. She had made her home in Hartsville for the past 12 years. Surviving are her daughter: Judy (Jimmy) Gainey, Hartsville, son: Van Lear, Glen Ellyn, Ill., 7 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald Lear.

Lynda Sue Edwards, 76, went to be with our Lord Feb. 12, 2005. She was born June 15, 1928, in Mayfield, Ky. A loving wife and mother, moved to Las Vegas in 1957. She raised her son, Terry Edwards and daughter Susan Hart in Las Vegas. Husband Bill Edwards, worked at the Nevada Test Site for 32 years. She is also survived by her brother, Jimmy Work. Sue was active with family and First Southern Baptist Church for many years. Sue enjoyed six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Viewing will be from noon - 7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 16. Bette Jo Jones passed from this life at her Chico home surrounded by her family after a long battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Roy, to whom she was married for 60 years. She was born to Marion and Muriel Johnson in Mt. Ida Arkansas on September 15, 1928.


After completing high school she married Roy Jones on September 15, 1946 in Oakland, CA. They began a life as a Navy couple and traveled extensively during their marriage. After retirement, they traveled to Europe and Japan then toured the US in their RV.


Bette is also survived and loved by her sister Lucille Hawthorne of Concord CA and her children and their spouses, Linda and Robert Beveridge of Dayton, NV, Michael and Gale Jones of Las Vegas, NV and Patty and Michael Efford of Chico. She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren, Stacey Weston and Ashley Efford of Chico, Christopher Jones of Carson City and Lisa, Robert and Michael Beveridge of Carson City.


Services will be held at Fitzhenry’s Funeral Home in Carson City Nevada. Remembrances can be made to Enloe Hospice 1390 E. Lassen Ave, Chico, CA 95973.

Justus Baldwin "Jock" Lawrence
Colonel, United States Army
A publicist whose clients included movie mogul Sam Goldwyn and Lord Mountbatten and General Dwight Eisenhower during World War II, died Tuesday, April 21, 1987, in New York Hospital of cardiopulmonary failure. He was 83.
A native of Cleveland, Mr. Lawrence graduated from Yale in 1927, went to Hollywood to write, and sold articles to the Saturday Evening Post, Liberty and other popular magazines. He became Goldwyn's advertising and publicity director, from 1933 to 1939, then went to the Motion Picture Film Producers Association as its public relations director.

In 1942, he became public relations aide to Mountbatten with the British commandos. A year later Eisenhower stole him away from Mountbatten, making Mr. Lawrence deputy chief public relations officer for the US Army in Europe, with the rank of colonel. He held the post to war's end. He was decorated with the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star, the French Legion of Honor and the Order of British Empire.

Giving up Hollywood for New York after the war, he became executive vice president in the New York office of the J. Arthur Rank Organization, the British movie studio.

He was recalled to military duty by Eisenhower in 1951, to serve as public information officer at the Allies' Supreme Headquarters in Paris, a position he held for two years.

He later formed his own public relations and research firm, J.B. Lawrence Inc, which advised a number of American and British industrial and financial companies. In 1958 he was a U.S. delegate to the 10th UNESCO conference. Mr. Lawrence published two books of memoirs, "Include Me In," about Hollywood and Sam Goldwyn, and "You Can't Shoot an Empty Gun," about his World War II experiences.

He is survived by his wife, Carlene, and a sister, Mrs. Michael Moore of Los Angeles. Funeral service will be held Monday, Apr 27, at the Fort Myer Post Chapel in Arlington, Va.; burial at Arlington National Cemetery. A memorial service will be held in New York at a later date.

Mrs. Lucy Jane Yates
Mrs. Lucy Jane Yates, 95, Clinton-Hickman County I.C.F., Clinton, formerly of Pilot Oak, died Wednesday, June 2, 2004, in the intermediate care facility.
A homemaker, she was a lifelong member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Pilot Oak, and also a member of the Senior Citizens of Mayfield.
Her husband, Reuben Yates, one son, Gene Yates, two sisters and six brothers all preceded her in death. Born Sept. 14, 1908, in Graves County, she was the daughter of the late William Crawford and Katherine Miller Crawford.
Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Georgia Johnson and husband, William (Jack), Murray, and Mrs. Dorothy Johnson and husband, Bob, Pilot Oak; six grandchildren, Dana Sullivan, Henderson, Sandy Morris, Cuba, Samantha Hall, Murray, Randy Johnson, Wingo, and Kelly Johnson and Karen Larkin, Edina, Minn.; eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Pilot Oak. The Rev. Jamie Lee and the Rev. Danny Potts will officiate. Burial will follow in the Bethlehem Cemetery.
Visitation will be at Jackson Funeral Home, Dukedom, Tenn., from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and at the church after 10 a.m. Saturday.

Ollie Rabey, 77, of Fulton died at 3:15 p.m. Friday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.
A lifelong resident of this area, Mr. Rabey was employed as a carpenter with Cathey Construction. He was a member of Bethleham United Methodist Church in Pilot Oak and of Water Valley Masonic Lodge No. 756.

Surviving are his wife, Myra Cathey; one daughter, Patricia Leppert of Fulton; four sisters, Mildred Strong and Roxie Sherdon, both of Mayfield, and Martha Stewert of Nashville, Tenn., and Robbie Scroggens of Florida.

He was preceded in death by an infant son, Gary Nelson Rabey; three sisters; and one brother. His parents were Wayne Rabey and Cora Clark Scott.

Services will be at 4 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Gerald Barns officiating. Burial will be at Bethleham Cemetery in Pilot Oak.

Beatrice Copeland Taylor, 92, of Mayfield, formerly of Warren, Mich., died at 5:02 a.m. Friday at Heritage Manor Healthcare Center in Mayfield.
Mrs. Taylor was a retired employee of Hucks Manufacturing Co. in Detroit and a past employee of Merit Clothing Co. in Mayfield. She was a member of the Baptist faith.

William Adair "Bill" Cannon Jr., 80, of Somerset died at 12:35 a.m. EDT Monday at his home.

A native of Graves County, he was a graduate of Fulton High School and was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He attended Freed-Hardeman College and graduated from Abilene Christian College before serving as minister for several Churches of Christ in Texas, Arkansas, Montana and Georgia. He retired as a U.S. Air Force chaplain after 18 years and served as elder of Cumberland Church of Christ in Somerset.

Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Robbie Sue Porterfield Cannon; three sons, Bob Cannon of Rowlett, Texas, Paul Cannon of Spartanburg, S.C., and David Cannon of Prattville Ala.; two daughters, Mary Ann Harris of Soddy Daisy, Tenn., and Debbie Clevenger of Imboden, Ark.; a brother, Jim Cannon of Maryville, Tenn.; and a nephew.

His parents were William Adair Cannon and Murgeon Colley Cannon.

Services will be at 10 a.m. EDT Wednesday at Cumberland Church of Christ.

Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Oak Grove Cemetery in Dukedom, Tenn., with David Cannon officiating.

HOUSTON — David G. Puckett, AIA, died on Tuesday, May 1, 2007 at the age of 53 in Houston. Born August 11, 1953, in Fulton, Ky., he served as a Congressional Page for the 91st and 92nd Congresses and was awarded his Eagle Scout badge on the floor of the U.S. House of Representatives. He was a graduate of South Fulton High School as a salutatorian, earned a Bachelor of Architecture degree from the University of Tennessee School of Architecture and Design and a Masters of Architecture, cited with honors, from the School of Architecture at the Royal Academy of Architecture at the School of Fine Arts in Copenhagen, Denmark.

In the seventh grade, he studied the pyramids and John Glenn going to space. From that time he knew he wanted to be an astronaut and architect. He moved to Houston, the home of NASA, and joined The Klein Partnership (now FKP Architects, Inc.) where he focused on translating the art of architecture into healthcare design. In addition to his professional career, he contributed his energy to several community interests including being a founding member of the Houston Ballet’s Ambassadors II; serving on the Board of Directors of the Houston Chapter of the American Institute of Architects; the AIA Healthcare Committee; the Texas Governor’s Commission of Aging; helped to organize what would become The Bering Omega Foundation, Stone Soup Kitchen, Houston AIDS Foundation; and was proud to accept a commission from the Governor of the Commonwealth of Kentucky to join the Honorable Order of Kentucky Colonels.

David is survived by his parents, Runelta “Dinky” Hopkins Puckett and Charles Glenn Puckett; his brother, Daniel Gene; his sister, Rebecca “Becky” Jo Puckett Marshall and her husband, John; and his nieces, Kristina Leigh and Sarah Elizabeth Marshall. Special thanks to his friend, Hernan E. Gonzalez, for his care and devotion.

A Memoriam Choral Evensong service will be at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, 2007, at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church at 5501 Main Street, Houston, TX 77004. Officiating at the service will be the Rev. Terry Jay Thompson, the Rev. John Fellers, D.D., and the Rev. Ronald D. Pogue, D. Min.

Expressions of sympathy may take the form of contributions to the organizations to which he devoted his philanthropy: The David G. Puckett Endowment at the Houston Ballet Academy; the St. Paul’s United Methodist Music Foundation; The David G. Puckett, AIA Lectureship Series at the Art of Architecture in Healthcare Design at the Houston Architecture Foundation; or to The David G. Services for Faye Breedlove, 68, of Paducah, formerly of Mayfield, will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Brown Funeral Home of Mayfield with the Revs. Encil Edmonds and Mike Hunt officiating. Burial will be at Mayfield Memory Gardens.

She died at 1:40 p.m. Friday at her home.

Mrs. Breedlove retired from the Jackson Purchase Medical Center Surgical Department. She was a member of Gospel Assembly Church.

She is survived by her husband, Charles T. Breedlove; a son, Michael Ray Vaughn of Burma; a stepson, Charles Ray Breedlove of Sedalia; a brother, Tom Hamlin of Mayfield; a grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Karon Vaughn; and two sisters. Her parents were William Jake Hamlin and Daisy Sarah Barrow Hamlin.

FULTON, Ky. — Services for Patricia Ann Gattis Hill, 67, of Dukedom, Tenn., will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel with the Revs. Stephen Webb, Debbie Webb and Robert Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in Union Cemetery.

Mrs. Hill died at 1:18 p.m. Friday in a one-vehicle accident on East State Line Road.

A native of Hardin County, Tenn., she was a homemaker and the author of Grany Tailes Childrens Stories. Mrs. Hill was a member of the former Palestine Methodist Church in Fulton and attended Good Springs Presbyterian Church in Dukedom. She served as league secretary at Jet Lanes Bowling Alley in Fulton for 23 years. Mrs. Hill volunteered at area schools and coached softball and basketball. She was past president of the Parent-Teacher Association at Cayce Elementary School and was a room mother.

Surviving are her husband of 51 years, Elgie Dick Hill; three daughters, Sandy Sadler of Dresden, Tenn., Kathy A. Smith of Hickman and Tammie Pilgrim of Gilroy, Calif.; one son, Dennis Hill of Dukedom; three brothers, Harry Gattis of Savannah, Tenn., Charles Gattis of Crump, Tenn., and Billie Gattis of Fort Smith, Ark.; one sister, Alta Bryson of Savannah; seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Jerry Allen Hill; one great-grandson; three sisters; and two brothers. Her parents were Joseph Vester “Judge” Gattis and Ethel Margaret Brown Gattis.

Harold Holladay
(February 28, 1917 - September 8, 2007)

He lived in South Fulton TN all of his life. He graduated from South Fulton High School. He served during WWII in the US Army in the South West Pacific Area. He worked for the US Postal Service as a Rural Mail Carrier for over 30 years retiring in 1977. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Fulton KY for over 50 years. He served as church treasurer for 29 years and was a member of the administrative board and served as a church trustee.He was a member of the Aldersgate Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his daughter Patricia Holladay Nichols and son- in- law Dave Nichols of Nashville TN. 2 grandchildren Hal Nichols and Patrick Nichols both of Nashville TN.

He was preceded in death by his wife Erline Wilkins Holladay April 28, 2003 and his parents George Cleveland and Maude Lamb Holladay. 6 brothers and sisters.

Funeral services for Mr Harold Holladay will be held at 2pm Tues in our funeral chapel with burial to follow in the Obion County Memorial Gardens. Friends may call the funeral home from 6 to 8 Mon and anytime Tuesday until the funeral hour. Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Fulton KY.

WATER VALLEY, Ky. — Services for Henry Louis Cobb Sr., 70, of Water Valley, formerly of South Fulton, Tenn., will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Hornbeak Funeral Chapel in Fulton. The Rev. Danny Potts and his brother, Billy Joe Cobb of Greenfield, Tenn., will officiate. Burial will be at Water Valley Cemetery.

Mr. Cobb died at 11:46 a.m. Monday at Western Baptist Hospital in Paducah.

A native of Skullbone, Tenn., he retired from J.E. Campbell Inc. in South Fulton after 28 years of service and was of the Pentecostal faith.

Besides his brother, he is survived by his wife, Shelby Glover Cobb; three sons, Henry L. Cobb Jr. of Murray, William Lee Cobb of Greenfield, and Paul Joseph Cobb of Union City, Tenn.; two daughters, Pamela Frances McCord and Aletha Cheryl Vanmeter, both of Water Valley; two other brothers, Larry Cobb of Dresden, Tenn., and Danny Cobb of Greenfield; two sisters, Betty Cobb of Martin, Tenn., and Dean Franklin of St. Joseph, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. His parents were Robert E. Lee Cobb and Mattie Lou Bryant Cobb.

HICKORY, Ky. — Services for Dorothy Mae Watts, 85, of Hickory will be at 11 a.m. today at Brown Funeral Home in Mayfield. The Rev. C.W. Jackson will officiate. Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery in Palmersville, Tenn.

She died at 2:15 p.m. Saturday at Jackson Purchase Medical Center in Mayfield.

Mrs. Watts was retired from the former Merit Clothing Co. in Mayfield. She was a member of Sedalia Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons, J.W. Watts of Hickory, Harlon Watts of Wingo and Bobby Watts of Paris, Tenn.; one daughter, Barbara Malone of Benton; three sisters, Ada Nell Winsted of Dresden, Tenn., Nadine Brewer of Paris, Tenn., and Macell Dowmans of Detroit; 17 grandchildren; 39 great-grandchildren; and 25 great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billie Watts; one daughter, Shirley Isbell; three brothers; one grandchild; and one great-grandchild. Her parents were Will and Pearl Turner McClure

WINGO, Ky. — L.J. Boyd, 84, of Wingo died at 3:50 a.m. Sunday at Parkway Regional Hospital in Fulton.

Mr. Boyd was a retired farmer and a former magistrate of the first district of Graves County. He was of the Presbyterian faith.

Surviving are a son, Jeff Boyd of Wingo; a sister, Dorothy Haddad of South Fulton, Tenn.; a brother, Jimmy Boyd of Springfield, Mo.; two granddaughters; and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Boyd; two sisters; and three brothers. His parents were Smith Boyd and Alma Pinson Boyd.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Funeral Home in Wingo with the Rev. Danny Potts officiating. Burial will be in Water Valley Cemeter

Linda Denham, 86 MAYFIELD, Ky.

Services for Linda Luzelle Denham, 86, of Mayfield will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brown Funeral Home here with the Rev. Butch Colley officiating. Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Denham died at 3:40 p.m. Thursday at Green Acres Health Care.

She retired from Merit Clothing Co. and was a member of First Baptist Church.

Surviving are two sons, Larry Mullins of Carbondale, Ill., and Dennis Mullins of Mayfield; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Athel Mullins; her second husband, Pete Denham; a granddaughter; a brother; and a sister. Her parents were John and Ruby Brown.

LYNNVILLE, Ky.--Services for James W. Canter, 77, of Lynnville will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Byrn Funeral Home in Mayfield with Dr. Michael Elliott and James D. Lee officiating. Burial with military rites will be in Lynnville Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mr. Canter died at 4:10 p.m. Wednesday at Murray-Calloway County Hospital.

A U.S. Army veteran of World War II, he received the Bronze Star. He was a lifelong farmer in Lynnville and a member of Lynnville United Methodist Church and Cuba Masonic Lodge No. 644.

Surviving are his wife of 56 years, Manon Waldrop Canter; two daughters, Phyllis Kelley of South Fulton, Tenn., and Deana Lee of Lynnville; four sisters, Mildred Burnett of Sedalia, Maxine West of Tri City, and Sue West and Wanda Williams, both of Mayfield; four grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; four great-grandchildren; one step-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by three brothers; three nephews; and one niece. His parents were Charlie F. and Dulcie Wiggins Canter.

Mrs. Killebrew died Thursday at Parkway Regional Hospital.

A native of Graves Coutny, she retired as a welcome center hostess in Fulton for the state of Kentucky and was a retired clerk for the former Baldridge's Dime Store. Mrs. Killebrew was a member of Smith Street Church of Christ in South Fulton, Tenn.

Surviving are her husband, William Killebrew; a daughter, Patsy K. Butts of Fulton; a brother, Darrell Edward Rickman of Campbellsville; four sisters, Pauline Shupe of Mayfield, Billie Sue Walker of Martin, Tenn., Lucille Brame of Wingo and Geraldine Jones of Sedalia; two granddaughters; and four great-grandsons.

She was preceded in death by four brothers. Her parents were Charlie Ewing Rickman and Dellie Ellen Holden Rickman.

BOAZ, Ky.
Services for Gary Gene Jetton, 63, of Boaz will be at 2 p.m. today at the Lone Oak chapel of Milner & Orr Funeral Home. The Rev. Ronnie Stinson will officiate. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Mr. Jetton died at 8:45 a.m. Wednesday at his home.

He owned the Tobacco Barn on Hinkleville Road for 27 years before his retirement, and was a Kentucky State Police officer for 16 years. He was also a farmer.

Mr. Jetton was a member of Trace Creek Baptist Church, where he served as a trustee, usher, member of the Charles Mozee Memorial Trust Committee and the Building Committee.

He was a life member of the National Rifle Association and a member of Ducks Unlimited and Pheasants Forever.

Surviving are his wife, Sue McNeill Jetton; two daughters, Pamela Sue Crouch and Diana Lynn McGill, both of Boaz; one son, Casey Alan Jetton of Versailles; and five grandchildren.

His parents were Clifford B. and Anna Lee Keeling Jetton.

LEDBETTER, Ky.--Services for Kenneth "Bubba Ray" Ritchie, 19, of Ledbetter will be at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at Milner and Orr Funeral Home of Paducah. The Rev. Paul Hatcher will officiate, and burial will be in Fooks Cemetery in Marshall County.
Mr. Ritchie, a native of Ledbetter, died at 2:45 p.m. Monday from injuries suffered in a four-wheeler accident in Ledbetter.

He is survived by his mother, Cindy Garner Ritchie of Ledbetter; his father and stepmother, Tony Ray and Angie Cheshire Ritchie of Calvert City; his daughter, Alana Ritchie of Ledbetter; his brother, Roger William Ritchie of Ledbetter; two stepsisters, Misty Love of Burna and Lindsay Collins of Calvert City; his grandparents, Joe and Nancy Douglas Garner of Ledbetter, and Ruth Ritchie of Paducah; his great-grandmother, Ruth Gayle of Paducah; his great-grandfather, E.T. Garner of Paducah; and several aunts and uncles.

He was preceded in death by his grandfather, William Ritchie; and great-grandparents, Lena Garner and Richard Gayle.
