Bean Soup

1 pound dry white beans
1 large onion, chopped
1 green pepper, chopped
1/4 lb. bacon, diced
2 teaspoon salt
1- 16oz. can diced tomatoes
2 Tablespoon brown sugar
2 teaspoon prepared mustard
1/2 teaspoon Tabasco Sauce
1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire Sauce


Wash and sort dried beans and put in large pot. Cover with about 2 inches of water.Bring to a boil and then turn off heat and cover. Let sit for a few hours and then add more water to cover good and cook for about an hour.

Saute the diced bacon in skillet,and add to beans. Saute the onion and peppers for about 5 minutes in the same skillet. Add all ingredients to beans and continue to simmer for 1 hour or until beans are soft.
