Pecan Pie

3 eggs, slightly beaten
3/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup Karo syrup(light or dark or mixed)
2 Tablespoon butter, melted
1 Teas. vanilla
1 1/4 cup pecans

1 deep dish,unbaked 9" pie crust


Melt sugar and syrup in saucepan and boil 1 minute. Cool slightly and pour into eggs. Add vanilla, butter and stir in pecans and pour in crust.If using frozen pie crust place on cookie sheet.Bake in 350 oven for 45 to 55 minutes or until knife inserted halfway between center and edge comes out clean. Cool on wire rack. Serve plain or with ice cream on top.
